Close Friends

Hi All,
According to a ( British, of course ) survey, Britons have an average
of 14 close friends...CLOSE friends. I don't know how they do it, I can
count mine on the fingers of my hand. But then investigating more, I realised
those so-called friends are seen while socialising in bars and nightclubs.
Aaaaaaah, that's where you find friends. The use of e-mail helps maintaining
those friendships. Right, so cybersex is good for friendships...For a
31 year old Londoner woman 14 close friends sounds like an underestimate.
She boasts having at least 20 close friends, because she goes out with
30 friends from her fitness club. She admits though that if she found
someone she is serious about she would not know where to fit her buddies...don't
you worry darling, I wonder if they would notice the difference, once
you're not there.
And, very important, just to illustrate how close those close friends
are, the survey found out that the richer you are, the more close friends
you are likely to have. No kidding? It's simple, no money, no pub, no
close friends. Again I wonder how much time and money was spent on this
survey.
Have a nice day
Alex

M.Y.K.
When I stopped the bus to pick up Chris for preschool, I noticed
an older woman hugging him as he left the house. "Is that your
grandmother?" I asked.
"Yes," Chris said. "She's come to visit us for Christmas."
"How nice," I said. "Where does she live?"
"At the airport," Chris replied. "Whenever we want her,
we just go out there and get her."
